1928, Fanny Chambers

Hard to believe that Fanny Elizabeth Aldham was 41 with three kids,. But she had had a privileged upbringing. The crows-feet by her eyes have been softened in reproducing the photo (she may even have 

touched up an original print, and re-photographed seeing that both she and Louis knew how to do such things). She had learnt how to paint and to hand-tint photographs.
